The rehabilitation project of the Basilica of Our Lady of Lebanon covered both concrete and facade works. The Glazed Facades and Skylights have been completely re-designed and modernized in order to light up the interior volume and provide a more contemporary style.

SCOPE OF WORK

  • 60 meter high twisted facade, using a cabled supporting structure and point fixed glazing with stainless steel accessories. The 2 sides of the facades, starting at an angle of 90 degrees, twisted while moving upwards, to reach a flat angle at the top.
  • Skylights along the roof of the basilica, allowing for natural lighting.
